Finding the Light
This was my most challenging photoshoot yet- taking photos of a massage in a dimly lit room the size of a small closet. There was a moment of panic where I thought, I’m not going to get any pictures for my client. So what did I do?
Make sure to take RAW images. This will allow you to edit your photos with more freedom without sacrificing quality.
Turn the ISO up! This will lighten up your images.
Have a tripod! Make your shutter speed slower, allowing more time for the shutter, and therefore allowing more light to come through.
Edit your photos! EDIT EDIT EDIT! Find filters that will ADD to the ambiance of your photography.
When I take photos, I like to evoke emotions. Anyone can take a picture of a massage table, of a person, or an object. But how do you capture the AMIBIANCE, and EMOTION, the HEART of a situation? Add your personal style to your images, frame your photos with natural backgrounds, set the mood!
Don’t allow a situation to stifle your creativity. Allow it to PUSH yourself and your end product. IMPRESS yourself and your clients. OVERCOME by knowing your camera settings and your editing software.
