The Tolomato Cemetery is the final resting place of Elizabeth Forrester, a 16-year-old from Pennsylvania whom died while visiting Florida and was buried at Tolomato in 1798. Her gravesite is the oldest marked grave in the state of Florida.

Many say the Huguenot Cemetery is haunted by a young girl around the age of 14 who died of yellow fever. No one claimed her body that was dumped here and is said that her soul haunts the streets of St. Augustine, floating amoungst the trees and even waving to visitors.
